APF Announces New Production Manager
GLENDALE, Ariz. – (August 15, 2011) – Arizona Polymer Flooring (APF), a manufacturer of high-performance flooring products and concrete coating systems, is proud to announce the addition of Gilbert Hernandez as production manager. He is based at the plant's headquarters in Glendale, Ariz.
Hernandez specializes in lean manufacturing, process improvement and critical problem solving. He will oversee all major production functions.
Hernandez has more than 17 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing and decorative flooring industries. Prior to joining APF, he served as production manger for Xcel Surfaces, where he produced acrylic products for the decorative industry. He also manufacturered coatings for the aerospace and military industries at PPG.
Gilbert has all the qualities of a great production manager,” said Daniel Owen, vice president of APF. “He’s experienced, creative and understands the unique challenges of manufacturing high performance coatings. We’re thrilled to have him on our team.”
Hernandez is HAZMAT certified and has certifications in Just-in-Time and Inventory Control form the Association of Operations Management. He resides in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
APF has manufactured high-quality concrete coating systems since 1985. It serves contractors, architects and end users nationwide. All APF products are field tested for performance and durability.
